Optimistic October!


For October we are running a special event. This event is tailored to helping everyone get to know themselves a little bit better, and to see the good around them and in them. Every day of October we will be posting journal prompts and suggested activities for the day to help you along your way. Be honest with yourself, and you may meet someone truly exceptional, you.


Every day we find something that we can get down on ourselves about, but how much are we seeing the good? How often do we say, I like this about me, or that was a great thing I did? Ignoring the good in ourselves can lead to some very serious negative feelings and thoughts. Lets try to lighten our loads this month with happy, thankful and reflective energy.


You don't have to write anything super long, even just one sentence might do the trick. We will be flip flopping weeks, gratitude one week then self introspection the next. The activities are simple and can easily fit into your day, on or offline.


The Harvard Health Journal said :

In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.


And Lao Tzu, Chinese Philosopher said this about self introspection:

Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.

Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.

If you realize that you have enough, you are truly rich.
